Summer glau

She really must have had an impact because she turned that one episode into starring in Whedon's upcoming hit TV series, Firefly. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. The character of Tam was forced to participate in trials conducted by the government that required her to become an assassin. Tam could not control her emotions as a result. Glau had the opportunity to show off not only her acting skills, but her fighting skills on Firefly. Glau could utilize her athletic capabilities since she was trained to be an assassin.
