Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian artist and singer. There are more than 20 albums that were released by her. DiFranco categorizes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as an icon of women's rights and Grammy-winning artist is considered the pioneer in DIY music. She was one of the first artists to start the label she created in the year 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who met while attending an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian origin and her mother came originally from Montreal. The song by Ani, 32 Flavors was composed by her and is performed by Ani. It is featured on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, that was released in 1996. It was featured on the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variation of this song. DiFranco made an apology public in 2013, after it emerged that she had planned a three-day seminar in an Louisiana plantation. It was postponed however, many (including the newspaper) failed to see it as a sign of regret. DiFranco issued a new apology just a few days after the first. While she has been known as the Little Folksinger, her music has embraced many kinds of genres and collaborates between Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. Her home is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is a friend of Kristen Ford. She started writing songs around the age of 14. Teens were filled with singing them in pubs as well as coffee shops. DiFranco started taking courses at Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
